Audience Participation Please!!

Mr Montague would like to find a new home. And he wants to look the best that he possibly can, so someone will buy him. But he (and I) can't decide which photo should be his main photo. Can you help??

Should it be:

The winning smile?

                                                                       The relaxed pose?

His bright shorts? (I'm not serious about that one)

The side-on profile?

The full body shot?

Which photo would make you buy him? I'm using the side-on profile at the moment but just not sure. Help me, if you can!

New Projects!

Don't you just love new projects? I received this quilt pattern for Christmas and can't wait to start it. You will probably not be able to see the true beauty of this quilt in these photos. I've seen it made up and believe me when I say, it is absolutely beautiful!

It is going to be a lot of work as you will see if you look up close. There is a lot of handstitching, embroidery, and applique. I'm looking forward to it though. It's a decent size too - 150cm sqaure.

I hope to start it soon (maybe even tomorrow), and I plan to give regular updates on each square as I progress through. Check out all the beautiful threads I'm using, and there's still a few more that I haven't bought yet.

If you can see the middle square in the bottom row, it has a picture of a teapot and says "You and me and a cup of tea - perfect" on it. I also have the option of appliquing a coffee plunger and writing "Good friends, good times, good coffee - perfect". That appealed to me - the individuality of it. Now I don't drink either tea or coffee, so I suppose it doesn't really apply to me, but I liked it anyway.

What new projects are inspiring you?

Old Bus Depot Markets Take 2

So, on the 11th and 18th of December, I had a stall at the Old Bus Depot Markets. The first one I can safely say was a failure! I sold only two things and didn't even make the stall fee back. Thankfully, Mum had offered to pay for the first one because otherwise I wouldn't have been able to afford it. I left it feeling pretty depressed. I was so close to deciding not to go back the next week. But then I thought what have I got to lose. If I decide not to go ahead, I'll never know what might have happened. So I went, and I am so glad I did!!

I think I was in a better position the next time. I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it or whether it was just because it was closer to Christmas, but I sold a heap more and made a lot more than my stall fee. Some people didn't buy but took business cards, so I can only hope that they may eventuate into sales down the track.

These are all photos from the first week as Bethany wanted me to take some photos. And after the first week, I decided it wasn't worthwhile to take photos the next week, so there's none from my better position. Apparently I had to have a photo of me behind the stall, so here it is. :)

As they only hold these markets on Saturday in December, I'll have to wait until next December to try again. If any knows of good markets that are held regularly on a Saturday, I'll be all ears.  That's it from me - my view of the Old Bus Depot Markets.
